I was able to replace one of the loves of my life. I found a 1973 Lotus Europa in San Antonio,Texas and made arrangements to pick the car up. The trip was planned and 2400 miles later, on August 24th, 1998 a Lotus was rolled into my garage. What makes this car rare is the fact that it is equiped with dealer installed air c onditioning. The car had not run for over 10 years but I was able to get it to run! The water pump failed, so I have pulled the engine out and am in the process of restoring the engine and engine compartment. More will follow and pictures will be added to document the process.

Well the car has been together for a year now. There are still a few problems that need to be cleared up. Mainly a small oil leak from around the fuel pump and from the shifter seal at the back of the transmission. The air conditioning system has been changed out to R314A to reduce refilling cost and to protect the environment. The system puts out 48.6 degrees farenheit at the dash. Not bad...
